Helen’s chocolates was founded in 1986 by Ken & Helen Davidson.

It was one of the first chocolate shops in the North of England to specialise in selling luxury handmade chocolates, based in the heart of the Lake District’s most popular village, Bowness on Windermere.

The small shop situated on Ash Street, is famous for its enticing fresh chocolate aroma that greets you the moment you enter the doorway. Over the years the product range has developed and grown, as did the chocolate counter that is now over 4.5 metres long and has an unrivalled choice of 60 mouth watering chocolates.

In 2000 Ken & Helen decided to retire and sold the business to their daughter and son in law, Rebecca & Paul, who have continued to expand the business with new and exciting products.

Each individual Neuhaus chocolate is hand made using traditional techniques passed down through the generations. Neuhaus chocolates compliment Helen's range of luxury hand made chocolates.
